Anticipation!

Yo yo yo!  It's been awhile, eh?  But time certainly has flown!  When I got home in December I thought my 2.5 months at home was going to be looong and boooring, but somehow I managed to keep myself occupied and now it's a mere 4 days until I return to Peru!  Shall we say that I am excited?  That may be an understatement.  Yesterday I got an email about the first cultural event of the semester which is a trip to the beach, BUT I am not going to be there because the event is this Saturday and that is the day I am arriving in Peru.  Bummer!  Yesterday my mom and I flew to Naples, Florida followed soon after by my grandparents who are renting a condo for the month of March and graciously let us stay with them for a few days!  Unfortunately it is pouring rain today, so not exactly the weather we were hoping for, but at least I will get to have the sunny hot weather of Peru in a few days whereas my mother has to return to nasty Chicago weather :-)  Surprisingly, I did a much better job of packing for this semester which means that my suitcases both easily stayed under the 50 pound level and my carry-on and backpack were both not that full.  This will be good for bringing home souvenirs and gifts and such!  Any requests? ;-)  Anywho, I don't suppose there is much else to share right now, but I will be sure to update again once I arrive in Peru - there will surely be much more exciting news at that time!  Thanks for reading!

This is me and my friend Lauren who I met in Peru last semester.  I went to visit her in Boston about two weeks ago and in this picture we are standing in front of Paul Revere's statue near the Old North Church and Paul Revere's house!  I had a blast visiting her and wish she was able to return to Peru with me, but I am also excited to make new friends!
