So I've basically been avoiding updating my blog because I honestly feel like I could just spend hours and hours writing because I have so much to talk about! With that, this post is going to be short because I am too sleepy to write a lot, but I figured I should give you something to keep you hooked :-)
First of all, if you all recall back to April, I acted in a short film for my friends class project and I finally got to watch it on Tuesday, which was really exciting! AND the even better part is that all of you have the opportunity to watch it by clicking on this link My acting debut. Do I have an acting career in front of me? Hmmmm, as much as I actually would love that, I don't think it's in the plan, and I'm really not convinced that I'm at all good at acting. Haha.
Also, here is the link to my latest album on facebook, which has pictures from my birthday: I turned 21!
And speaking of my birthday, it was pretty much awesome! I had 8:00 class which was too early and rather boring, but when I got back to my house my dear friend Laura and left me some beautiful flowers in my room! Such a great surprise! It seriously made me so happy! And then I skyped with my cousin Gretchen at 10:30 and it is always wonderful to chat with her! I decided to take a nap because I sort of felt like I might be coming down with a cold and was not feeling 100% well. For lunch we had crema de zapallo with chicken (and of course rice, but that's just a given). Crema de zapallo is kinda like a thick, creamy soup that is made with a relative of pumpkin/squash...something along those lines. And after I just wrote that I became really curious about what zapallo actually is so I discovered it is a type of pumpkin, and thus also a type of squash, because pumpkins are a type of squash. Who knew? Anyhow, I really like crema de zapallo so I was happy to eat it on my bday especially because I was cold and there is nothing like some warm creamy soupy stuff when you're cold. After lunch I went to my philosophy class although I really did not want to and almost ditched. When I got home from class, I got myself ready for friends to come over. I invited 6 american friends and 6 Peruvian friends over because my host mom told me she wanted to make a dinner for me and my friends. Alright this is already getting longer than I meant it to be and I am falling asleep. So I shall leave you in suspense for now, muahahaha.
