Semana Santa

I only had three days of school this week because it is Semana Santa (Holy Week) so today and tomorrow are feriados (holidays).  I like having a short week.  In Peru, eveyone travels for Semana Santa, and I wish I could say the same for myself, but I was a bit stressed out about school when people were planning and so I didn't hop on the bandwagon soon enough.  My friends are traveling to Ica anyhow, which I went to last semester, so I am not too disappointed to be staying home.  Tonight I am going to a sleepover with friends from church and tomorrow I am hanging out with my friend Jazmin.  Saturday I'm going to do homework and possibly go to a musical at a church near my house.  It should be a good weekend overall.

I forgot to tell you about how when I was running the other day, these two little boys starting running with me, almost chasing me.  I think they were trying to pretend like we were racing which was funny because I was running a very steady easy pace.  It made me laugh though because they were running along with me giggling and acting like it was the most fun they'd had all month.  So cute!
